Everything happens for a reason. And occasionally, one thing leads to another. Rather than locking yourself up in fear and weeping over past grief, embarrassment and failures, treat them as your teachers and they’ll become your tools in both your personal development and your success.
So, when does personal development become synonymous with success?
For one, quit believing you’re a failure. How many people will accept you if you can’t even accept yourself?
Whenever you see other successful people, think about how you can copy them, not how you can envy them. Success is not just about the outer appearances, it’s also about the inner life.
Help lift other people up, but be careful not to join in their misery, as misery loves company.
Take matters one step at a time. Personal development is a step by step process.
Personal development results in inner satisfaction, personality development and success. It comes from self-assurance, self appreciation and self-esteem.
Whilst you’re willing to embrace change and go through the process of personal development, it doesn’t mean that everybody else is. Recognise that we are all individuals with our own views and values.
Remember that there’s no such thing as an ‘over night success’. We’re all here to learn our lessons. Our parents, school teachers, acquaintances, co-workers, neighbours… they’re our teachers. When we open up our minds to personal development, we greatly improve our chances of success.
